If you're ready for some risk and fun, here's how to actualy install several YouTracks on the same machine:Ī naive, but bullet-proof approach. Users will be forced to register twice in two different YouTracks, to ban the user you'll need to ban him/her twice and so on. There is one more thing to consider here: distinct YouTrack installations will have separate user & permission data. If your bug tracking service is mission critical and you cannot afford even a single bug to appear, then I would advice to follow the Alex.V's recomendation and create two separate projects within one YouTrack instance. So it may be a kind of trial-and-error experience. As for the bugs - we'd appreciate if you could reach out to us via jb.gg/ytsup or 'Send feedback' in the app and share the details so that we can address these issues.Not realy, but this case is not covered by official documentation at all. I’d be happy to update this review in response to improved functionality. TL DR: It’s not snappy, but you can probably use this app decently as a developer right now, whereas for project management I think it’s completely unusable. Even so, I think dashboards are super important on mobile, and should be available on both. I’m also trying this on iPhone 12, not iPad, so it could be that some functionality is hidden here. The devs desperately need to use this in a real world project and iterate on the functionality! I apologize if I’m mistaken on this presumption, but it truly feels that way to me right now. It’s also the kind of thing I’d like to do at the issue-list level, not deep inside an individual issue’s top-right menu. Linking issues is missing parent-child link creation for some reason. Things like pressing a tiny X to back out makes it that much harder. As a result, attempting to change a bunch of things in one go feels very tedious and slow. Adding multi-select as I mentioned above would remedy this.Įvery time you change a field, the app pauses while it syncs with the server. (There should really be a mini-tutorial for this!) My biggest gripe however is that they didn’t include the backlog, and there’s no obvious way to move issues to the current sprint. It has an entire view dedicated to Agile boards with “swimlanes” - at first it seems difficult to drag issues around, but there’s a zoom button that makes this much easier. issue list has no swipe, no long-press commands, and no multi-select) make for a frustratingly tedious experience. no dashboards, overly cumbersome to accomplish basic things like deleting issues) and missed opportunities (e.g. I love JetBrains, and YouTrack on web is great, but this app feels like it was designed entirely on a whiteboard.
